Welcome to Essex County College!

We offer a wide range of associate degree programs that enable you to transfer and earn your bachelor’s degree or immediately enter the workforce. You can choose from more than 60 major areas of study in disciplines ranging from the humanities, social sciences and business to the natural sciences, nursing and allied health, engineering technologies, and computer science. You can also enroll in ESL and adult literacy classes, obtain customized job training, and pursue numerous programs for professional development and personal enrichment. There’s so much available, including a multitude of support services, cooperative education internships, career planning, and even a child care center.
You’ll be part of a tapestry of individuals who are distinguished by their diversity in age, culture, background and academic interests, and yet share a common bond that very much defines the community college experience.
