The Honors Program is a rigorous academic program for students interested in transferring to competitive colleges and universities.


The program is designed to provide a challenging and demanding academic curriculum for high-achieving talented students. The academic curriculum is characterized by questioning, inquiry, and creative exploration. Students must complete a minimum of four general education Honors Program courses and a Capstone Research Project under the tutelage of a Faculty Mentor.

New Students

  • Placed in the top 10% high school rankor
  • A SAT score of 1650 (minimum of 550 verbal, 550 mathematics, and essay 9)
Continuing Students

  • GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Completed at least 12 college credits and no more than 24 credits
  • Prepared to take ENG 102 and HST 102 (Spring Semester)
  • Students must maintain a 3.5 GPA to remain in the Program
