Up For A Challenge?
Essex County College is now offering classes in Supply Chain Management through LINCS, a national consortium of 12 colleges and universities dedicated to the education and training of students for the supply chain and logistics professions. Based in major cities across six states, LINCS is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor. The nine college sites, supported by three additional universities, work in partnership with the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP). The overall goal of the consortium members is the following:
To develop and deliver of practical and relevant training through courses aimed at people looking for entry and mid-level opportunities in the growing area of supply chain and logistics functions. Courses taken can be completed in as little time as months or even weeks.
Additionally, these one credit courses are transferrable as a free elective toward an Essex County College Associate degree.
Through CSCMP, the most relevant course work in supply chain functions from bulk commodities to industrial production to retail environments are offered. The consortium is continuing to identity employers who are in need of trained talent in supply chain jobs.
