monique-edouard-fall2011Entering her third year as head women’s soccer coach at ECC, Edouard’s coaching experience at Lee University Cleveland, TN and as a youth soccer coach clearly demonstrates her professional teaching and coaching skills by transforming Wolverines women’s soccer program into instant winners in such a short-period of time.

After her tenure playing stint in the Women’s Haitian National Team as GK, 1991-1993, Edouard enrolled and joined our women’s soccer team. She has been considered to be one of the pioneers that has played two years for the wolverines’ women’s team at its very first inception, graduated in 2001 in Physical Education and continued later her playing and academic studies at Lee University, where she received in 2003 her B.S. Degree in Physical Education & Recreation.

Immediately after her graduation, she joined her Alma Mater’s athletic staff as a recruiter, skills development and GK coach. Her contribution has helped their women’s soccer program to continue being a national NAIA powerhouse. Her coaching ability and recruiting experience did make an immediate impact in our women’s soccer program as I observe her engaging in discussion with players on athletic and socio- academic issues in relevant to their future as being “the ambassador” of the institution.”

For the past 2 seasons, Wolverines had their most successful seasons in the program history. After being at the cellar in our conference and region for the past seven years, Edouard rejuvenates the program and steers her team to the region Final in 2011 and semi-final in 2013.

Here in the city of Newark, Edouard was a part of the coaching staff that had ensemble U14 girls youth soccer team to participate in the very first year of US Youth Games where the sport of soccer was firstly added into its Olympic style tournament held in New York City, 1997. Her team won a silver medal at that tournament.

In addition, Edouard is actively involved in youth soccer. From 1996, she has been an associate with Total Soccer Academy in various capacities as Youth GK coach and trainer for clubs throughout the metropolitan areas.

Presently Edouard is married with Yves Roberson Lorville still resides in Spring Valley, NY and works for Jawonio Inc., New City, New York, with developmental disability adolescents and adults as a House Coordinator.
