Payment of tuition and fees is due at time of registration. Payment can be made via the web at myecc.essex.edu or at the Bursars Office cashier’s window located on the fourth floor of the Newark Campus or the first floor of the West Essex Campus. Methods of payment include American Express, Discover, Visa/MasterCard (credit and debit cards) cash, checks and money orders. Unpaid registrations will be voided. Traditional Newark Campus office hours are Monday, Thursday, and Friday – 8:30am to 4:15pm and Tuesday and Wednesday 8:30am to 6:45pm. Office hours at the West Essex Campus are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:30 to 4:15 and Wednesday 11:00am to 6:45pm. Office hours during in person and late registration are extended to accommodate the needs of our students and are made available in the course schedule booklet.
In addition to tuition payments, we accept payments for parking, transcripts, identification card replacement and library fines. Scholarship payments, agency billings, charge-backs and refund request are also accepted.

Students are eligible for in-county tuition rate if they can demonstrate that the following requirements have been met before the first day of classes.
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Have continuously resided in the State of New Jersey for at least one year.
- Have established permanent residency in Essex County before the first day of classes.
All other students are charged the out-of-county tuition rate.
A Change of Address does not adjust the tuition rate automatically. Students who have moved to Essex County must submit a Change of Address Form and Tuition Rate Adjustment Request Form with supporting documents to the Enrollment Services Office by the end of the second week of classes.
