Essex County College will be the site for the Saturday, June 2 New Jersey First Steps conference, a statewide infant/toddler initiative. The Professional Development Day program is under the auspices of the Northern Region of the Programs for Parents organization.
The College’s Division of Social Sciences is a partner in the infant/toddler program, funded by the New Jersey Department of Human Services/Division of Family Development.
The program – Exploring Science with Infants and Toddlers from the Crib, to the floor, and Outdoors! – will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Smith Hall, on the College’s Newark campus.
The program is geared toward infant/toddler care teachers focusing on the role of supporting young children’s curiosity and development.
