The Board approved a contract not to exceed $142,086 to Ironbound Medical Services, Newark, for student, employee and Police Academy recruit medical services. The award was for the second year of a two-year contract. The contract runs through June 30, 2014.
“This is a routine award for such things as contractual physical exams, pre-employment screens and workers’ compensation cases,” said Human Resources Director Jeannette Robinson. “Pre-enrollment screening services are utilized by students in athletics, the Certified Nursing Assistant program in Training, Inc. and Police Academy recruits.”
The Board also approved a $56,532 contract in Bollinger Insurance, Short Hills, to provide sports health insurance for student-athletics through September 1, 2014. The contract covers student-athletics participating in basketball, soccer, and track & field.
