The College has inked three affiliation agreements with area healthcare facilities to provide clinical training sites for healthcare students.
A two-year (January 1, 2014-December 31, 2015) deal was signed with the 1st Cerebral Palsy Center of New Jersey for clinical laboratory experience for students in the Physical Therapist Assistant degree program. Students will be completing 15 credit hours of clinical experience at the Belleville facility.
Students in the Certified Medication Aid program, offered through On-Campus Continuing Education, will have clinical training at Newark’s Roseville Manor assisted living facility. The clinical training is a requirement for the students in the program to prepare them to take the state Certified Medication Aide examination.
A two year agreement (April 1, 2014 – March 31, 2016) was approved between the College and Trinitas Regional Medical Center to continue the long-standing affiliation agreement for students to have access to the healthcare facility’s dialysis unit. The affiliation is geared toward students enrolled in the On-Campus Continuing Education’s Hemodialysis Technician Certificate Program. Since 2008, 152 ECC students have received hands-on clinical training at Trinitas.
