More than half of students at Essex County College receive some sort of financial aid, both need-based and merit-based.

Scholarships in both categories are available to students attending ECC, for students of all kinds. Many scholarships are targeted to incoming freshman students, but there are other scholarships targeted to people from all walks of life.

In addition, some scholarships can continue to benefit students long after they graduate from ECC. We are New Jersey’s leading producer of Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Transfer Scholars. Those scholars each receive $120,000 in scholarships to continue.

Types of Scholarships

There are dozens of public and private scholarships that can help you pay for your college education. There are a few of the more common examples listed in the menu.
