Essex County College awards scholarships to both returning and graduating students. Generally, there are three categories of scholarships for returning students: Presidential, International, and External Donor scholarships.
The Presidential and International scholarships for returning students are awarded by the President of Essex County College. International scholarships are open to students with F1 visa status. Please review the criteria section of the handbook for additional information. Students receiving full financial aid are not eligible for international, presidential or external donor scholarship.
Graduating students may apply for transfer scholarships. Over 30 organizations provide scholarships to students, who graduate from Essex County College, and have been accepted as transfer students at four-year colleges and universities. This category of scholarships does not exclude students on financial aid.
Detailed criteria pertaining to the various scholarships that Essex County College awards to both returning and graduating students each year is provided in the specific sections of the handbook. More information may be obtained from the Office of Student Development and Counseling.
