Welcome to Essex County College’s reaccreditation site. ECC remains accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Our students’ course credits will
continue to be transferrable to other colleges or universities, and we can continue
to offer financial aid and receive federal grants.

Accreditation Status

Essex County College is a member of the Middle States Association for accreditation; a peer review process is conducted every 10 years to ensure full compliance with all accreditation standards. During the recent Middle States peer review visit in April 2011, the college successfully met 12 of the 14 standards, mainly those related to the core mission, planning and resource allocation, governance, special programs for students, and qualifications of our faculty.

Essex County College will be preparing its follow-up report for Middle States by March 2012.
