Before preparing the self-study document, the College developed "The Self-Study Design."

Middle States defines the self-study design as a blueprint for the actual self-study report. ECC chose to conduct a comprehensive self-study following the guidelines of Middle States’ s Characteristics of Excellence.  The core of ECC’s design document is comprised of many analytical questions formulated by the college’s various subcommittees.  The analytical questions are consistent with Middle States’  “fundamental elements.”
