Before the actual self-study document is written, the College needs to develop what is called the self-study design.

Middle States defines the self-study design as a blueprint for the actual self-study report that will be written, beginning in late 2009 and early 2010.   ECC has chosen to conduct a comprehensive self-study following the guidelines of Middle States’ s Characteristics of Excellence.  The core of ECC’s design document is comprised of many analytical questions formulated by the college’s various subcommittees.  The analytical questions are consistent with Middle States’  “fundamental elements.”
