Course Description: This course is a studio exploration of various painting techniques using the medium of acrylic.

Course Goals: Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to do the following:

  1. demonstrate knowledge of how to mix all hues, tints, tones and shades from red, yellow, blue, black and white paint;
  2. utilize various problem-solving techniques to produce paintings in a variety of styles and formats; and
  3. produce 5 different course paintings.
