Course Description: This course is an introductory studio course in the fundamentals of black and white photography with emphasis on design, composition and techniques of photography.

Course Goals: Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to do the following:

  1. demonstrate knowledge of the techniques of photography;
  2. utilize various problem-solving techniques to compose, crop, develop and enlarge photographs; and
  3. communicate accurate photography terminology in written and/or oral form.
