Course Description: In this course, the elements and principles of design are explored in three-dimensional space.  Functional as well as aesthetic utilization of space and form, along with skill in manipulation of new materials, are emphasized.

Course Goals: Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to do the following:

  1. demonstrate knowledge  of gouache, color aid paper, papier-mâché and other media in creating three-dimensional design projects; and
  2. utilize various problem-solving techniques to complete the five required three-dimensional projects.
