CSC 111 ROUTING AND SWITCHING WIDE AREA NETWORKS

CSC 111         ROUTING  AND SWITCHING WIDE AREA  NETWORKS      (4 Credits)

This course is a continuation of CSC 110.  Students develop the knowledge to configure  Cisco routers in Local and Wide Area Networks.   The course covers in detail router configuration, IP addressing, WAN  routing protocols, and network troubleshooting.   All course topics correspond to the second semester of the Cisco  Networking Academy Program curriculum for the CCNA examination.  Students are required to complete a selected  series of router implementation and configuration exercises to pass the course.  The course is taught in a lecture,  discussion, and demonstration format within the confines of a specialized  laboratory.

Prerequisite:  “C” or better in CSC 110.
