DHY 205 DENTAL SPECIALTIES I (Core Course) (1 Credit)
Students are given the opportunity to manipulate properties of dental materials used in the practice of dentistry. Biological considerations in the selection and utilization of dental materials are covered. Students learn about the way the clinical applications react to the oral environment. The course is a prerequisite to DHY 210, where the student will function and perform expanded duties to laboratory proficiency. The expanded duties are outlined in the New Jersey Dental Auxiliary Practice Act. This course consists of both lecture and laboratory sessions.
Prerequisite: “C” or better in DAS 103.
