GIS 201 INTRODUCTION TO SPATIAL ANALYSIS (4 Credits)
This course exposes students to various components of spatial analysis. Emphasis is placed on modeling and decision making with the use of spatial data. Additional emphasis is placed on the acquisition, refinement, and analysis of data from numerous sources. The course promotes the analytical and critical thinking that is required when conducting statistical analysis of geographic data. Emphasis is placed on understanding data at a descriptive level for conducting statistical analysis.
Prerequisite: “C” or better in GIS 111
