Prerequisites:  Grades of “C” or better in RTC 100, RTC 101, RTC 102, RTC 103, RTC 104, and BIO 122

Co-requisites:  RTC 105, RTC 106, and RTC 107                     Concurrent Courses:  None

Course Description: Students are assigned to clinical affiliations for a 15-week period, two days each week, to perform routine examinations under the supervision of a registered radiologic technologist.  Critiques of radiographic films are conducted at the clinical site.

Course Goals: Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to do the following:

  1. correctly identify film identification, radiologic anatomy, patient positioning, and film quality on selected radiographic images;
  2. satisfactorily perform 8 radiography procedures selected from the prescribed list of procedures applicable to the current semester; and
  3. demonstrate behavior outlined by the Affective Domain evaluation to an acceptable measurement.
