Prerequisites:  Grade of “C” or better in RTC 112

Co-requisites:  RTC 200 and RTC 201                                        Concurrent Courses:  None

Course Description: Students are assigned to clinical affiliations for approximately fifteen weeks, three days per week, to perform all radiographic procedures under the supervision of a registered radiologic technologist.  Critiques of radiographic films are conducted at the clinical sites.

Course Goals: Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to do the following:

  1. correctly identify film identification, radiologic anatomy, patient positioning, and film quality on selected radiographic images;
  2. satisfactorily perform 12 radiography procedures selected from the prescribed list of procedures; and
  3. demonstrate behavior outlined by the Affective Domain evaluation to an acceptable measurement.
