Prerequisites:  Formal acceptance into the Radiography Program; Grade of “C” or better in RTC 205
Co-requisites:
Concurrent Courses: Grade of “C” or better in RTC 203 and RTC 204

Course Description: Students are assigned to clinical affiliations for approximately seven weeks, five days per week. In addition to diagnostic radiography participation, students will rotate through CT, MRI, NM, Special Procedures, and Bone Densitometry departments under the supervision of a registered technologist where they will observe these modalities. Critiques of radiographic films are conducted.

<!–Course Goals: Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to do the following:

  1. correctly identify film identification, radiologic anatomy, patient positioning, and film quality on selected radiographic images;
  2. satisfactorily perform 5 terminal radiography evaluations selected from the prescribed list of procedures in addition to any uncompleted initial evaluations ; and
  3. demonstrate behavior outlined by the Affective Domain evaluation to an acceptable measurement.
