The horror and tragedy of human trafficking will be the subject of a special program at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, January 16 in Smith Hall. New Jersey Assistant Attorney General Tracy M. Thompson will be the keynote speaker.
Ms. Thompson serves as program coordinator for the New Jersey Human Trafficking Task Force.
According to the U.S. Department of State, 14,500 to 17,500 people are trafficked into the United States each year, with half of them being children.
The program is free and open to the public. It is presented by the College’s WISE Women’s Center, Social Sciences Division and Student Life & Activities Office.
