In conjunction with Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day on February 7, free and confidential HIV testing will be conducted at ECC as well as in the community, February 4-7. Community testing locations include the North Jersey Community Research Initiative (NJCRI) at 50 South Clinton Avenue, East Orange on February 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Broad and Market streets with mobile units from St. Michael’s and NJCRI on February 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In addition, on February 4, ECC’s Urban Issues Institute’s (UII) annual Town Hall meeting is from 12 noon to 2 p.m. in Siegler Hall. This year’s topic is “Ring the Alarm: State of HIV/AIDS in Newark Metro Area.”
A masquerade ball – unmasking the myth about HIV – is also scheduled for Friday, February 28 at ECC.
