ECC will host its annual Spring Career Fair on Friday, April 11, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on its main campus at 303 University Avenue, Newark. The event will be held in the College’s Gymnasium.
The career fair is sponsored by a federal Carl D. Perkins grant in partnership with ECC’s Office of Student Development & Counseling, and Training, Inc., along with the office of Newark Mayor Luis Quintana, the Newark City Council and Newark Works Career One Stop Center.
“Essex County College has a long-standing tradition of providing workforce development opportunities for the residents of Newark and Essex County,” said President Gale E. Gibson. “We are enthusiastic about our new partnership with the City of Newark so that we can expand our outreach even farther into the communities and assist even more residents with finding jobs.”
Employers expected to attend the career fair will represent such areas as information technology, health/nursing/EMT, manufacturing, transportation and construction trade apprenticeships.
