The July 25 Job Fair sponsored by the College’s Training, Inc. Department attracted nearly 400 applicants seeking employment with seven area companies.
“Overall the Job Fair was a great success and we will definitely have more of these programs in the future,” said Sanghamitra Choudhury, Director of the College’s Training, Inc. program. “The fair also brought exposure to the participating employers and expose the community to our College.”
The companies that looked to fill a variety of positions at the Job Fair included Choice Home Warranty; FedEx Ground; Forem Facility Management, LLC; UPS; Volt Workforce Solutions, Tiffany & Co., and Whole Foods Market.
“The employers I spoke to were very impressed with the talent of the applicants. They told me they found suitable candidates for their available positons,” said Cathy Skelley, Training, Inc.’s Marketing Outreach Coordinator.
“We found the program very well organized with a lot of outstanding applicants,” said Steve T. Cooper, one of the Human Resources representatives from Tiffany & Co. “I’d say it is 100 percent we will return to another job fair here.”
This is the second job fair this year in which the College’s Training, Inc. partnered with area employers. A Job Fair, in partnership with the New Jersey Department of Labor, was held in March with St. Michael’s Medical Center.
