YATCHINE MICHEL

An ECC graduate and former soccer player here, Yatchine Michel has been associated with Lady Wolverine soccer for a dozen years. During his tenure here, Michel’s teams have complied more than 60 wins and won the 2003 Region 19 title, advancing to the district playoffs.

Michel, originally from Haiti, has also worked in ECC’s student center and at the Hanover Adult Training Center in Morristown where he was a behavioral technician. He earned an associate degree from ECC in Physical Education, a dental assistant certificate from UMDNJ, and a phlebotomy technician certificate from the National Health Career Association.

Michel holds licenses from the New Jersey State Youth Soccer Association and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America

Many of Michel’s players have continued their soccer careers at four year schools. One former player, Marie Gilles, achieved national recognition in 2003 when she was named a third team All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Metushelah Licin

Assistant women’s soccer coach Metushelah Licin has been affiliated with the Lady Wolverines since 2005. He played on the ECC men’s team in 2002 and 2003 before transferring to New York Institute of Technology. Licin earned an associate degree in Health Sciences and a certificate in Massage Therapy from Essex.

As assistant coach, Licin is actively involved in recruiting for the team as well as game preparation and preparing scouting reports.. He also organizes the weight training and conditioning sessions for the team.

Licin has also interned as a physical therapy assistant at Raritan Bay Medical Center (Perth Amboy Division) and Industrial Strength Fitness in Union.
