The area of Institutional Assessment serves the college by leading and facilitating the process of institutional planning and assessment and providing information to inform resource allocation.

Institutional Assessment is a sustained process that evaluates all institutional services and academic programs through an annual process of documenting goals that are aligned with the college’s mission and strategic plan, establishing measurable targets, assessing performance against those targets, and formulating future action plans. The work of Institutional Assessment provides evidence that the college meets Middle States Standard VI, which requires the college to continuously assess and improve its programs and services, and to respond effectively to opportunities and challenges.

The college uses the WEAVE platform to document and track institutional goals, strategies, targets, findings, and action plans. Instructional videos for WEAVE are provided below:

Session 1: login into WEAVE and enter departmental objectives

Session 2: input measures and targets

Session 3: input findings and action plans

Session 4: generating reports

Offices and divisions needing assistance with annual goals and objectives or with WEAVE should contact the Office of Institutional Planning & Assessment at (973) 877-1879.
