College Announces 100 Percent Online Certificate in Supply Chain Management

Essex County College is offering a pair of online Certificate programs in the lucrative and fast growing Supply Chain Management field.

The Logistics Certificate in Supply Chain Management program is a series of 1-credit courses offering 4 Certification Tracks in the following areas:
· Customer Service Operations
· Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management
· Transportation Operations
· Warehouse Operations
Online instruction is offered starting July 13, 2020.

The Certificate in Supply Chain Management is a 15-credit program that can be completed in six months. Credits can also be applied toward an Associate Degree in Supply Chain Management.

“Supply Chain & Logistics has become a growing field, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Dr. Augustine Boakye, Acting Dean of Liberal Arts & Business. “As an academic institution, our role is to prepare people, particularly the unemployed, to re-enter the labor market with new skills. The 5-week Logistics certificates of participation and the 6-month certificate of Achievement are purposely designed to provide short-term career specific skills for the citizens of Essex County and beyond,” he added.

“The Supply Chain Management certification programs at Essex County College prepare students to succeed in the complex management of the flow of goods and services from points of origin to fulfillment of customer need,” said Professor Pavi Jalloh. “It gives students an opportunity to become immediate contributors in the growing areas of product distribution, transportation and customer service operations.”
