Learn Cybersecurity at Essex County College

A two-part Introduction to Cybersecurity will be offered via remote instruction this summer at Essex County College. The courses are through the College’s Training, Inc. Department – Community, Continuing Education & Workforce Development.

“With so many people working remotely, cybersecurity is even more critical now,” said Mitra Choudhury, Director of Training, Inc. “Its a very high in-demand field and a very valuable tool for both business and home computer security,” she added.

The program is designed to provide essential knowledge and skills needed for basic cybersecurity and data protection. Part I is 30 hours and Part 2 is a 33 hour program.

“We are very pleased to offer such an important program to our residents,” said Dr. Anthony E. Munroe, ECC President. “Workforce Development training, which enables people to learn a marketable skill in a relatively short time, is especially valuable during the current COVID-19 pandemic,” Dr. Munroe said.
