ECC Athletes Lead Community Literacy Initiative

NEWARK, N.J. — Essex County College student-athletes kicked off the year by stepping beyond competition and into the community, partnering with a local Newark middle school for a meaningful day centered on literacy, mentorship, and positive role modeling.

Led by members of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), the initiative highlights how ECC athletes are using their voices and experiences to inspire the next generation – while continuing a broader tradition of Wolverine Athletics making an impact both on and off the field.
