“Essex County College changed my life, providing me the skills needed to be a competent Nurse and deal with adversity. I’ve received a life-long career and that can’t be replaced. The training from my professors was priceless. My time at ECC also led me to organizations that have proven to be very helpful in my career, such as the National Black Nurses Association.”
“Essex County College opened my mind and eyes, and challenged my world view. I will always be thankful for that. I was uncertain about myself when I came to ECC. But that all changed once I started classes. I can say with 100 percent certainty that I would not change that part of my life.”
“Essex County College Is the place where it all started for me; where I received a college education and helped to set the stage for my athletic future. ECC laid the foundation for teaching me what is like to work hard and to be the best I can. ECC is also where I met my future husband!”
ECC has an open-admissions policy to students at least 18 years old. But every student is different. Find out what you need to apply, and which kinds of unique programs you might be eligible for.
Making the choice to continue your education is one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make. At ECC, we don’t take your decision lightly, so we do everything we can to be the best choice for you. ECC is regionally accredited, so your college credits are transferable to other colleges and universities. In fact, ECC sends more transfer students to Rutgers University, Montclair State University, and the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) than any other two-year institution in New Jersey. We regularly send our students to Ivy League schools and other top institutions as well. Of course, many ECC students aren’t looking to transfer at all – they want to quickly enter the workplace with marketable skills. ECC provides corporate training for 61 area businesses, and our graduates have secured employment at national firms like Goldman Sachs and Prudential. Whether your goal is to push your education even further, start a career you’ll love, or learn new skills for the job you already have, ECC aims to be the right choice for you.
ECC is all about making your college life easier and more enjoyable. Between our three convenient campuses, we provide services for students of all kinds.
