Reduced Remote Learning

Essex County College is pleased to announce a reduced tuition rate for out-of-county, virtual and online students beginning in fall 2022. Out-of-county students taking either online or virtual courses will now receive a 30% discount on tuition costs. Choose from over 80 remote course options, including over 50 virtual face-to-face courses and over 30 online courses*.  Learn more about our course options in our Course Schedule Booklet. 

ECC has the courses you need to meet your work/family/school life balance. Now it’s easier than ever to start, or finish, your Essex County College journey. All out-of-county remote students will be included in this pilot. Apply today if you are a new student! 

To qualify for the tuition adjustment, new and returning out-of-county students should register for online (OL) or virtual (V) designated courses.  

The tuition will be adjusted prior to the first day of the semester. Course selection availability is subject to change.

Total tuition and fees do not include course lab fees, off-campus fees, and tutorial fees.
Total billable credit hours determine full-time status. Check your registration carefully.

Student Activity Fee: charged per credit and used to support Student Life & Activities; Student Clubs, Athletics, Student Leadership, Cultural Affairs, and graduation Commencement events.
General Fee: charged per credit and supports the cost of building construction and maintenance.
Technology Fee: charged per term to offset the cost to maintain and upgrade student lab, library, and instructional technology.
