Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA)
Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) grows emerging leaders around the globe in Finance, Marketing, Management and Hospitality, through a combination of workshops and community focused activities. Our attributes and values describe DECA’s priorities and standards. We value competence, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
DECA members are ambitious, high-achieving leaders equipped to conquer the challenges of their aspirations. We are poised professionals with ethics, integrity and high standards that continually impact and improve our local and broader communities.

Future Teachers Club
Purpose: To provide all students interested in a teaching career with additional support and resources that can have a positive impact in their professional and academic lives. As a club, we aim to provide space for inspiration, encouragement, support, and networking for all members. Activities include: tutoring for the Praxis exam, substitute license workshops, job search assistance, and community service, among others.

Paralegal Student Organization
The Paralegal Student Organization has been established to further educate members of the Paralegal Studies program and other students interested in law. We encourage a high order of ethical and professional attainment, as well as promote professional growth and recognition of the Paralegal profession.

Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting
The Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) creates opportunities, adds value, and builds relationships for its members, the community and its business partners about expanding Latino leadership in the global workforce.
Essex County College Chemical Society
The Essex County College Chemical Society provides a dynamic and welcoming social environment as a professional organization and avenue for outreach events that educate and excite the community about chemical science.

Electrical Innovations Club
The Electrical Innovations Club provides numerous professional development opportunities by exposing students to projects that will be built using electronic prototyping platforms to create interactive electronic objects.
African Student Association
The Essex County College African Student Association (ECCASA) is an organization at the College which promotes the eclectic cultures that are only found in Africa. We serve as a resource to the College and the African community for information.
Caribbean Students Club
ONE BIG FAMILY TOGETHERNESS
The purpose of the Cari-Club is to organize the Caribbean student community of Essex County College in order to assist them in achieving their goals. Cari-Club will also ensure the participation of the Caribbean students in activities organized by the school and other clubs. The club will work towards the Caribbean Culture to the student body of the College.

Latino Student Union
The Latino Student Union is a student run organization dedicated to creating and expanding knowledge and awareness of Latin American culture.
International Student Society
The International Student Society creates a community for International students where they can get mentorship in their student lives and a platform to learn leadership skills and working within an organization.
Christian Fellowship
The purpose of ‘Christian Fellowship’ is to establish and advance witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Lord. The nature of the club is to bring students to an understanding of Christ and instill love for Essex students, faculty, and administration. One of the broad educational goals that IVCF promotes is preparing mature students who would transform the world of work and knowledge outside of the college.
Educational Opportunity Fund Club
Do you like helping people? Then join the EOF club! Our club is for students that want to help other student s, by offering updates on school events, and activities. We learn by doing fundraising activities and we help ourselves, by learning, practicing and doing leadership activities… and public speaking. We participate in other activities to improve the lives of students, and people in the broader community.
Mission: The EOF Club is a group of students involved in community service and leadership. We endeavor to be the voice of students by eliminating barriers by offering resources and help. By more fully utilizing the many opportunities that are already available. The EOF Club is a group of students involved in community service and leadership.

Social Work Students Association
The Social Work Club aims to engage in the development of the programs and the promotion of events related to social work that will allow its members to utilize their skills within the ECC community and the community at large to effectively aid our community.
Differently Abled Student Union
The Differently Abled Student Union was established to inform and provide better communication and services for the differently-abled and able students in order to enrich college success.
Cheerleaders Club
To build strong young women and men academically and athletically; showing our school spirit by supporting our athletic teams and building friendships for a lifetime, as well as participating in various community service activities, fundraising and social events.

ECC Observer
The student newspaper, named the Essex County College Observer (ECCO), was established to provide a means for communication for and by the students. ECCO publishes news of interest to the college community. Opportunities are available in all areas of newspaper work, and students are encouraged to join the editorial staff. Applications are available in the Dasher Student Center, Room G03.

Fashion Entertainment Board
F.E.B is a student organization at Essex County College located in Newark, N.J. This organization was established over 30 years ago. The organization goals are to promote fashion and entertainment throughout the community and institution while providing workshops and productions that support our purpose. In addition, we sponsor annual student productions and do a lot of community service in the community. The proceeds from this production will go towards Essex County College student scholarships and to other social organizations.
