Business ClubThe Business club strives to provide its members with the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge about the business and professional world. Join the club to fine-tune your finance, marketing, investing and money management skills.

Essex Chemical Society (ECS)The Essex County College Chemical Society provides a dynamic and welcoming social environment as a professional organization and avenue for outreach events that educate and excite the community about chemical science.

Future Teachers ClubThe Future Teachers Club provides all students interested in a teaching career with additional support and resources that can have a positive impact in their professional and academic lives. As a club, we aim to provide space for inspiration, encouragement, support, and networking for all members. Activities include: tutoring for the Praxis exam, substitute license workshops, job search assistance, and community service, among others.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK)Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society for two-year colleges whose membership consists of excellent, high-achieving students. The organization recognizes and rewards members for their academic achievement and excellence, and assists them in their academic endeavors. To be eligible for membership in Phi Theta Kappa, a student must have accumulated a minimum of 12 college-level credit hours, and have a grade point average equivalent to not less than a 3.60.

Student Nursing Organization (SNO)The Nursing Association of Essex County College aims to organize, represent, educate and mentor its members. The organization promotes the necessary skills, standards and ethics needed to develop nursing students who are prepared to lead the profession into the future.
Meetings: Last Tuesday of the month, 7:00pm-8:00pm
TECSWhether it’s a catapult or a cement canoe, the TECS (Technology, Engineering, Computer Science) are always creating something exciting! The club has many experienced members that are available to assist you with counseling, internships, and tutoring for Math, English, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry and Physics courses.

Haitian Student AssociationThe Haitian Student Association’s mission is to share the country’s rich heritage with the Essex County College community. The club also provides a space for students of Haitian descent and students interested in Haitian culture.

LGBTQ+ ClubEssex’s LGBTQ+ Club provides a diverse, inclusive, accepting and welcoming safe space for everyone. The club’s membership is open to all students in the LGBTQQIAA2S community and all allies.

Christian Fellowship ClubThe purpose of ‘Christian Fellowship’ is to establish and advance witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Lord. The nature of the club is to bring students to an understanding of Christ and instill love for Essex students, faculty, and administration. One of the broad educational goals that IVCF promotes is preparing mature students who would transform the world of work and knowledge outside of the college.

Social Work Student AssociationThe Social Work Student Association aims to engage in the development of the programs and the promotion of events related to social work that will allow its members to utilize their skills within the Essex community and the community at large to effectively aid our population.

Student Government AssociationThe Student Government Association provides representation in the planning, execution, and evaluation of actions affecting the College’s student body, serves as a means whereby student opinions, views, suggestions, and aspirations may be properly discussed and acted upon, and provides guidance and financial assistance to student clubs and organizations.
Veterans Service GroupTo provide support services to military veterans attending Essex County College, the Veterans Service Group seeks to raise awareness of the challenges that veteran students face as they pursue their academic careers and identify resources available to assist them. The club’s membership is open to military veterans and all Essex students who wish to support our vets as they continue to serve us through volunteer opportunities, community outreach, and mentorship.
360 Art ClubThe 360 Art Club invites all creatives working with any medium to join this coalition of collaboration. Whether your passion is art, photography, graphic design, animation or NFTs, this is your chance to learn and grow with like-minded creators.

CheerleadersThe Essex County College Cheerleaders build strong young women and men, academically and athletically. We promote school spirit by supporting our athletic teams and building friendships for a lifetime, as well as participating in various community service activities, fundraising, and social events.

Drama ClubUnleash the inner “you” with Essex’s Drama Club! The club gives students an opportunity to participate in creative dramatic activities, including live performances in front of an audience. Members will be exposed to different aspects of theatre including improvisational skits, monologues, set design, playwriting, and prop selection.

Essex Taekwon-DoEssex Taekwon-Do empowers its members with the discipline, flexibility, concentration, balance, and defense necessary to become confident in their own abilities. Essex students have the opportunity to improve their health and ability while learning about courtesy, integrity, perseverance, and self-control through the club’s free weekly classes.

Film ClubThe Film Club features a community of young filmmakers who work together to create cinematic content through the lens of student life. The club seeks to expand its members’ knowledge of film theory, production skills, and genre studies.

Game & Anime ClubWhether you are a nerd for tabletop gaming, console gaming, card playing or Japanese animation, The Gaming & Anime Club meets twice a week to dedicate equal time for playing games as well as watching and discussing anime. The club hosts multiple E-Sports tournaments each semester and streams all the action to Twitch.

Essex’s Step & Dance Team creates, practices, and performs original routines at various events throughout the college. The club is passionate about choreography and helping its members fine-tune their own rhythms.
