Welcome to Essex County College!

Essex County College requires all first-year incoming students to complete NSO, a mandatory two-hour program, presented by multiple offices and departments on campus. NSO is an opportunity for students to become engaged with the college community and gain the knowledge necessary for a successful first-year experience.

The overall goal of NSO is to provide students with a sense of belonging and connection to the campus community. We also want to provide students with the tools to become responsible learners, develop support networks, and ease students’ transition to Essex County College Life.

During NSO, students will formally be welcomed to Essex, engage in teambuilding activities with other incoming students, and have the opportunity to learn more about extracurricular activities offered through the Student Life & Activities Office. Students will also be provided with more information about important Essex policies and procedures. Students will also be introduced to campus resources such as: The Office of Student Development & Counseling and Career Services, the Office of Student Care Services, the Learning Center, Mentor/Advisors, E.O.F., Financial Aid, Information Commons, and Athletics. Welcome to our college!!!

The Student Financial Responsibility Agreement (SFRA) informs students of the financial responsibilities associated with enrolling for classes, and explains the potential consequences that may be taken if a student fails to meet those obligations.

Our goal is to help our students understand the cost of their education and the financial policies associated with their enrollment at ECC.  This agreement, in conjunction with our website, letters and other documentation, helps define the college’s expectations for payment, and allows us to clearly inform students of our policies related to billing, late payment penalties, contact methods, etc.

You can find more information on the Student Responsibility Financial Agreement at the following link: https://www.essex.edu/student-responsibility-agreement-sfa/

To access your Webservices, ECC email, MYECC and Moodle set up your account with Single Sign-On MFA: https://it.essex.edu/myportal/

As a student, you can print a physical copy of your schedule through your Web Services and MYECC Portals. Alternatively, students who use the ECC Mobile App have access to their schedule at their fingertips just by clicking the My Courses tab.

For help with ADD/Drops or Withdrawals please consult with your Academic Advisor/Mentor.
