Getting Started at ECC in 3 Easy Steps

Wondering how to begin your journey at ECC? Follow these three simple steps, and you’ll have no trouble starting your classes.

Step 1: Application Process

  • Submit your application to be admitted to ECC.
  • Comply with the State of New Jersey requirement for immunization against Measles, Mumps, and Rubella by submitting proof of immunization.
  • Complete the FAFSA if you are applying for Financial Aid.


Step 2: Complete Placement Testing

  • For new students, placement testing is the first step to knowing what classes you should register for. The brief test of your English and mathematical skills help ECC determine which courses will help you get the most out of your education experience.

  • Contact a department advisor about scheduling an advisement and registration session to plot out your initial courses.
  • Once you’ve registered, you’re ready to go to class!
