TEST EXEMPTIONS: The following circumstances qualify a student for exemption from the Accuplacer placement test.  Students who met these requirements will receive college-level placement after providing appropriate documentation:

  • Possession of an associate or higher degree from a U.S. college OR successful completion of the complete series of developmental courses in English & Mathematics at an NJ college or university.
  • Transferred college-level credits in English composition and/or mathematics with grade “C” or better.

ONLY OFFICIAL transcripts will be assessed. OFFICAL transcripts must be sent DIRECTLY from the transferring institution via email to [email protected]

If you took an Accuplacer placement test at another college or university in the last three years, the scores should be sent directly from the other institution to the ECC Testing Center for evaluation.
