Sometimes life happens, and for one reason or another, you may need to take some time away from Essex County College after completing classes. If you have not been in attendance for three or more years, you will need to submit a new Application for readmission.

Don’t worry – the re-admission process is simple. Simply follow the steps below, and you’ll be ready to enroll in classes once again.

 

Re-Applying Step-by-Step

Apply Online or submit a paper Application for Admission.

A $30.00 non-refundable Application Fee is required

Complete Placement Testing if required.

If you attended another college since your last semester at ECC, you must obtain a transcript from that institution.

Placement Testing

ONLY recommended for students who have not yet completed developmental coursework.

For new students, placement testing is the first step to knowing what classes you should register for. If you have already completed developmental or equivalent coursework, skip to step 4.

Complete a new FAFSA if you are applying for Financial Aid.

Enroll in classes

if you are re-applying after an academic dismissal, you will be limited to taking only 12 credit hours in your first semester back.
